Teaching Faculty
The first module of the ‘A’ Level Diploma Course in Buddhist Studies, Theory of Buddhist Meditation: Early Buddhism to Early Mahayana, will be taught by Dr Fa Qing who is a senior lecturer and Head of Library and Information Technology of the International Buddhist College, Thailand. He received his Ph.D. from University of Calgary, Canada in 2001. He was earlier invited to teach at the Than Hsiang Buddhist Research Centre, Penang. In 2003 he was assigned to Hatyai to assist in the establishment of the International Buddhist College. He lectures on Mahayana and Chinese Buddhism and his personal interests of research are mainly focused on Buddhist meditation practices. He is also an avid practitioner of the Buddha’s Path. He has written many papers and presented them at various Buddhist Conferences.
